Two injured in Daytona Beach shooting overnight

Daytona Beach police are investigating a shooting that injured two people early Saturday morning at a park in the city.According to police, officers responded to Joe Harris Park for reports of two people being shot just after 2 a.m. Saturday. Officers located both individuals who were then transported to the hospital for treatment. One victim is said to be in critical condition, but both are alive. Both victims are Bethune-Cookman University students.Police believe this to be an isolated incident and said the shooter and victims were in contact at a separate location before the shooting. A suspect has not been identified as police continue to investigate the shooting.
