Suffolk County legislators are speaking out against migrants coming into the county.

Lawmakers will announce how the county plans to ensure asylum seekers coming from New York City do not come to Suffolk County communities.

They say county departments and communities are not prepared to meet demand for services.

The announcement comes after Riverhead declared a state of emergency surrounding migrants and asylum seekers possibly coming to hotels and motels within the town.

Lawmakers will join together today at the Legislature building in Hauppauge.
