See ex-49er Frank Gore score one-punch knockout in pro boxing debut

Throughout his 16-year NFL career, former 49ers running back Frank Gore was known to deliver a punch to opposing defenses with his bruising rushing style.

On Saturday night in Biloxi, Miss., he packed quite the literal punch.

At Gamebred Boxing 1 at the Biloxi Community Center, Gore ended his professional boxing debut in the fourth round by knocking out opponent Yaya Olorunsola with a ferocious right-handed punch.

Gore did make headlines in the ring last December by battling former NBA player Deron Williams in a celebrity fight leading up to the rematch between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley. Although it was unanimously ruled that Gore lost in four rounds, it didn’t count towards his professional record because it was ruled an exhibition match.

Gore will take his perfect 1-0 record into his next boxing challenge.
