PSG to encourage Pogba to run down Man Utd contract

PSG are rethinking their plans for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

With a deal close for released Barcelona star Lionel Messi, PSG are pulling back from plans to sign Pogba.

The Athletic says PSG remain keen on the France midfielder, but are now prepared to wait until he comes off contract at the end of the season.

PSG chief Leonardo has been in regular contact with Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola this summer.

And the message to Pogba, once Messi’s deal is struck, is to run down his contract at United before moving to Paris next summer.
