NFL Week 7 coverage map: TV schedule for CBS, Fox regional broadcasts

The NFL will once again see four teams on byes in Week 7, but this may end up being the lightest slate of all. It’s not because of the number of games. There will be 12 total on Sunday including “Sunday Night Football,” as is usual during bye weeks.

However, the teams on bye are the Eagles (6-0), Bills (5-1), Vikings (5-1) and Rams (3-3). Those represent three of the NFL’s best teams as well as the reigning Super Bowl champion.

As such, the NFL’s Sunday slate will be a bit lighter on talent than usual. Still, there will be plenty of games to watch on both CBS and Fox in Week 7.

This week, it will be Fox that gets a greater share of the games. They will broadcast six total contests while CBS broadcasts five during the Sunday early- and late-afternoon slates. However, Fox won’t have a de facto national game like CBS did last week when it broadcast the Chiefs vs. Bills game.

Fox will largely rely on two games to carry its coverage. Commanders-Packers game will be the one to watch in the early afternoon as Green Bay looks to get back on track after back-to-back losses. In the late afternoon, most of the country will get to see the Chiefs and 49ers square off in a rematch of Super Bowl 54, which Kansas City won 31-20.

Meanwhile, CBS will have more regional coverage, but the game broadcast in many of the major markets will be the Lions-Cowboys tilt. Dak Prescott returns to action for Dallas in that one while the Lions, fresh off a bye week, will look to get their second win of the year.

Below is the full NFL coverage map for Week 7, plus a list of major TV markets and the CBS and Fox games that will be presented in each on Sunday.

TV schedule for NFL Week 7 games

The NFL’s prime-time slate doesn’t contain a team above the .500 mark in Week 7, but the “Sunday Night Football” matchup looks like a decent one. The Steelers (2-4) will travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins (3-3) as they look for their second consecutive upset win. The Dolphins will get starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa back as they look to break their three-game losing streak.

“Monday Night Football” will feature a battle between the 2-4 Bears and the 3-3 Patriots. New England has won its last two games with Bailey Zappe at the helm thanks to a great defensive effort and a strong running game led by Rhamondre Stevenson. Bill Belichick can pass Bears legend George Halas for second place in NFL history in all-time wins, so this could be a big moment for the Patriots.
