NBA Summer League scores: Full results, schedule, game recaps for Tuesday, August 17th

The 2021 NBA Summer League slate conclues in Las Vegas on Tuesday with eight games tipping off. Teams are starting to make decisions on two-way contracts and G-League squads, which many of the players at Summer League will be involved with if they don’t make an NBA roster.

Here we’ll be recapping all the games for Tuesday, August 17th.

NBA Summer League recaps

Mavericks 83, Heat 82

Carlik Jones had a big game for Dallas, recording 21 points, six rebounds and five assists in the team’s Vegas finale. The question is whether this is enough to earn Jones a camp invite or a two-way deal.

Four Heat starters reached double digits, including KZ Okpala and and DeJon Jarreau. Those two are likely to get opportunities going forward with the team, which will be looking to get back to contention this year in an Eastern conference loaded at the top.

76ers 103, Jazz 98

It was the Jaden Springer show in this one. The rookie guard showed out with 21 points and could be a rotation player immediately, especially if the 76ers do decide the move on from Ben Simmons before the season starts. Paul Reed also had a strong game with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

For the Jazz, Jarell Martin was a force in this one. He had 23 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and four steals. Dakota Mathias was also great for Utah, tallying 22 points and going 4-9 from behind the arc. Both players could receive camp invites.
